Scottish Tourist Board 4 Star This traditional style of semi detached croft house (built 1993) is situated in the quiet crofting community of Melvaig, ideal for an "away from it all" holiday.

Approximately 200 yards from the shore. Melvaig is 10 miles from Gairloch which has all amenities. The coastline around Melvaig and to the Ru'a Reidh Lighthouse (approx. 3 miles) is rugged, a haven for nesting birds, seals and a variety of marine life.There are numerous coves and caves for those who like a bit of adventure and if you feel that bit more daring the lighthouse centre offers all kinds of outdoor pursuits including canoeing and abseiling..

"Sea Croft" has all ground floor accommodation, is double glazed throughout and heated by "off peak" storage heaters. The living area comprises lounge/kitchen, with patio windows overlooking the Minch.

There is a colour T.V. with radio and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, condenser washer drier and toaster together with a good range of crockery and cooking utensils including coffee maker, food mixer etc.

The double bedroom has twin beds, with storage space and traditional furnishings. All bedding apart from sheets and pillowcases are provided. However, sheets and pillowcases along with towels and tea towels can be provided, at an extra charge.

The bathroom has a three piece suite, with electric shower over the bath, downflow heater, heated towel rail and shaver socket. The porch and hall have storage and hanging space. There is access and parking space for one car within the grounds of the croft, with outside sensor light for your convenience.

Electricity and telephone are bother metered, we ask on booking, together with a deposit, for prepayment of £40 of which £15 is for electric, £10 telephone and £15 retainer as per conditions of booking. The meters will be read on arrival and departure and we ask you to sign for units used, in the book provided. Any over payment will be refunded, together with the retainer by cheque in the post.

As "Sea Croft" is surrounded by working crofts, we regret we cannot accommodate any pets.

Gairloch is approximaterly 10 miles distant having hotels, shops, doctors and a dental surgery. A mobile shop calls at Melvaig twice a week, with a butcher fishmonger calling once.

Fishing trips, guided hill walks and mountain bikes are all available by prior arrangement.

A deposit of £25 per week plus the retainer and prepayment of £40 is payable on booking, the balance being payable six weeks before arrival.

"Sea Croft" is open all year.
